A Prophetic Dream Urging Intercession for Ukraine

On September 15, I dreamed that I was in some sort of makeshift prison camp that I later realized was in Ukraine. I went with a group inside of an abandoned and dark mansion. The group was made up of Ukrainian Christians, one of whom was a local pastor. I knew that someone called the “Russian Patroller” would be sneaking into the mansion in order to take us one by one to be executed. We all sat down in a big circle and the pastor had each one of us take turns giving our testimony. When we were finished, I really felt a divine courage within the group. At this point, I knew in my spirit that the “Russian Patroller” was nearby, so I looked out the door and could barely see a man dressed in black sneaking in. I screamed, “The Russian Patroller, the Russian Patroller!” and the rest of the group began yelling and making noise, not out of fear, but in the way that you would attempt to scare off a bear who has come into your camp. The Russian Patroller was terrified, and ran away, even though we were prisoners and unarmed. After that, I was sure that we would be safe.
When I woke up, I knew that there would be an increase in Russian persecution of Christians very soon. Yesterday, September 18, I received an article from CBN through Regent University titled “Tortured in Ukraine: Christians Living a Nightmare”. It describes pro-Russian rebels, backed by Russia, killing and torturing Christians and closing churches that are not a part of the Russian Orthodox Church–primarily protestants and evangelicals. I knew immediately that my dream was about this situation. I believe that there is a window of opportunity for the church’s intercession to restrain persecution in Ukraine. In response, please pray about the following with me:
– Pray that the church in Ukraine would be steadfast, overcoming persecution by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony (Rev. 12:11).
- Pray that the church in Ukraine would raise its voice to release the sound of heaven in worship, prayer, and prophecy.
– Pray that the persecution of Christians would end, and that the global church would stand in intercession on behalf of its brothers and sisters in Ukraine.
